Now, this was my first ever attempt at home-casting, and I have to say I really enjoyed it.
The moulds were on loan from my pal Alasdair Jamison, and for a couple of months I was melting down all sorts of unwanted figures to produce these. In addition, I supplemented the armies with a few ebay purchases.
After a while, I decided to move from the very basic card bases onto textured bases...
Below: The whole layout, including buildings and trees from my 30mm collections, which somehow worked fine...
The British unit (8th Foot) below, painted by Phil Williams. Flag and basing by me.

Super collection. Intrigued by your compromise basing style of leaving the original metal plate still showing while beautifully landscaping the rest!
Thanks Chris
Yes, I was experimenting with basing style. Well-spotted!

Great idea using the Prince August molds, I've been toying with idea of using them myself.
What rules are you using?

If you fancy trying out Prince August - have a look at the new SYW range.
